William Morrow (priest)
The Very Rev Canon William Edward Reginald Morrow (5 March 1869- 11 February 1950) 〔''Deaths'' The Times Monday, Feb 13, 1950; pg. 1; Issue 51614; col A〕 was an eminent Anglican priest in the 20th century.〔"Handbook of British Chronology" Fryde, E.B; Greenway, D.E; Porter,S; Roy,I Cambridge, CUP,1996 ISBN 978-0-521-56350-5〕 He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin and ordained in 1894 for the Curacy of West Ham Parish Church, where he remained 〔"The Clergy List, Clerical Guide and Ecclesiastical Directory" London, John Phillips, 1900〕 as Senior Curate until 1904. After this he held incumbencies at North Woolwich, Forest Gate, Clifton, Bristol and Wandsworth 〔Who was Who 1987-1990: London, A & C Black, 1991 ISBN 0-7136-3457-X〕 before his appointment as the inaugural Provost of Chelmsford.〔(Essex Archives On-line )〕
He married Lucy Matilda Watney, the daughter of the brewer, Norman Watney of Westerham, Kent.
